Counselling and Psychotherapy in
Kate Dyer (MBACP - accredited)
Sometimes the challenges we face in life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, isolated or stuck. This can interfere with our daily lives leading to difficulties such as anxiety, depression and relationship problems. Seeking support through counselling can help make sense of difficulties through a relationship that allows you to feel truly heard, valued and supported. When you come to me, I provide a warm, confidential space, free of judgement, where we can explore what is happening for you right now and work together to make a positive difference to your wellbeing.
As an integrative-relational counsellor, I combine humanistic and psychodynamic perspectives to tailor therapy to your individual benefit while placing the counselling relationship at the heart of the work. Often the emotional difficulties we face have their origins in our earliest experience of relationships and continue to be problematic throughout life, behind difficulties including poor self-esteem, anxiety and low mood. Through my commitment to working with compassion, acceptance and trust, I offer a therapeutic relationship with you that can offer insight and awareness, allowing you the opportunity to make changes to past patterns, leading to a fulfilling future and greater wellbeing. With several years experience, I work with adults, offering both long and short term therapy so you can work at a pace that is right for you.
Life can be really hard sometimes and talking to friends and family isn't always an option, while struggling alone seems unbearable. Whatever your difficulty I am here to listen. I offer a safe and welcoming space for you to openly share what you are experiencing, working with you to process thoughts and feelings, leading to a greater sense of self-awareness and empowerment through the choices this brings.
